Munising, MI Day 6 of vacation and Day 2 in RV

 Tuesday, 10:00am

Can you guess what we had for dinner last night? It wasn’t something you buy in Wegmans but something you hunt in Florida-no, not gators or pythons but wild boar! Cory and Russ went on a hunting excursion in Florida just so we could eat in retirement!! It was very good! Ended yesterday with a little campfire!

Today we went on a boat cruise touring Pictured Rocks National Park. What a beautiful area! Lots to see. It was picture perfect, an unknown treasure. The cliffs were fantastic to see with an array of colors created by minerals seeping through the rocks. Reddish-brown was from iron, white from calcium, blue-green from copper and black from manganese. That is your lesson of the day!

Had a great lunch of fresh caught whitefish and trout and then bought some meat and dessert pies or pasties, a crowd favorite for a snack. Oh and we even had a Sasquatch sighting! We have picture evidence!

And this is a smokehouse at the fish market.

Enjoyed some fish and chips at Cap’n Ron’s food truck!

On our way to Houghton, MI for day 2 in the RV!

Happy anniversary Sarah and Tim! Happy anniversary to Bryson and Victoria as well! Going near Matt’s hunting camp soon. Shelby and Jon-your parents say this area reminds them of Alaska.

See ya down the road!!  The XC Travelers
