Glacier National Park Day 16

Well, what a few busy days at Glacier National Park! We had a blast and drove the Going-To-The-Sun Road over the Continental Divide! We started the morning with an informative hour boat tour on Lake McDonald. The sights were beautiful in the morning sun and the lodge itself was an old log constructed building overlooking Lake McDonald. We then drove to Logan Pass and the Continental Divide where we hiked about 3 miles to Hidden Lake. We saw mountain goats and big horn sheep as well as some little picas and marmots. Oh what a great hike with the gang.

We then traveled down the other side of the divide to the Duck Lake Lodge where we bunked for the evening. We also had a tasty dinner at the Two Sister Cafe owned by no other than the 2 sisters Susan and Beth! Carol has 2 sisters - hmmm, wonder if they started a new business. A nice day on the farm. We fed the chickens, checked out Ashley’s gardens, sat on the deck and went out for ice cream. The Moore’s came to visit too. Definitely a relaxing day. We loaded up the RV with some good food and snacks so we will be ready to roll at 8:00am Monday! No more cute kid pics for a while, just retired people traveling around.  Stories still unfolding! Oxford, MI - Day 2

Friday, July 11, 2025 - Day 2  Hey, we are back for day 2. We arrived in Michigan yesterday and spent the day hanging out at Sunkist Acres with the Myszenski clan. Nothing too crazy for 2 old retired people! Our Phantom BUS finally arrived with its owners in tow and we headed to Costco for some budget friendly shopping. We are stocking up for our long cross country trek with Brenda and Russ. We had to make sure we had some chocolate on board to survive 9 days together in that BUS and I can guarantee we did no binge shopping. 😆😟   Joey and Madeleine enjoyed getting to know our host family for the next 2 weeks. Joey, Papa and Russ played baseball with Joey and taught him how to wiggle his booty when he is up to bat. Madeleine enjoyed "Russ's daughter", aka Brenda and that just flattered Brenda. Madeleine is now working her magic on Brenda and checking out her bracelets, purse and all its content. I really think she is trying to get Brenda to give her some of her cosmetics...

Hilton, NY - Day 1

Thursday, July 10, 2025 - Day 1 We, Dave and Carol departed Hilton, NY in our trusty Honda Odyssey mini van (which is packed with all our needs- Carol was a Girl Scout so hopefully we have everything we need). We even had room for our dog Olive. She is going on holiday to Ashley and Matt’s while we travel on our epic cross country trip with the Hermans. Leg one of our trip will be to Oxford, Michigan to stay with the Myszenski family for a few days. We will hang out with the grandkids and go to Sammy’s 2nd birthday party to the Moore’s house. The Herman’s motor coach RV, aka the Phantom BUS, equipped with a pull behind Jeep will be arriving on Friday afternoon for a few day visit. Then we will be off on a 9 day excursion to our destination, Whitefish, Montana where the Krol Tour Company will entertain us for a week to experience Montana to the fullest.
